Virtual Town Hall | Zhou Fengsuo on the Tiananmen Square Massacre

A word on our virtual town hall from NOW!'s co-executive director Andrea

Dear Friends,

Our co-founder Andrea Venzon discussed with Fengsuo Zhou, a Chinese human rights activist, and former student leader during the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, about what led to the protests, what happened, and the consequences of the massacre on the struggle for democracy in China!

If you have missed the event, you can rewatch it here (PART 1 & PART 2)!

It was really interesting to also broaden our discussion with our participants on the importance of creating a League of Democracies - the aim of our Wave of Freedom campaign - and what type of support democratic countries should give to freedom struggles around the world.

Join NOW!, become part of a global community of changemakers.

Thank you!
