Happy New Year! I hope you had the most restful time if you managed to take some time off around the holidays. I have great news, after relentless work from our tech team, our global democratic consultations are now live 🚀.
We are also proud to announce that we just held a wonderful launch event in Taipei 🇹🇼 on democracy vs authoritarianism. And it was amazing, with great panelists and about 50 participants: we got so much great input! Click here to learn more.
1. WHAT AM I TALKING ABOUT?
As you know, at Atlas we are working to design, build, and launch such a Democratic System of Global Governance. One that is👏 people-led 👏 transnational, in which humans 👏 unite beyond national borders! Why? Because how else can we truly unite to overcome global issues like climate, inequalities and more?
To do so, from January to December 2023, we are running consultations online and in person across the globe 🌏 to crowdsource with YOU:
- what are the core issues with today’s global governance?
- what are the solutions & how to ensure maximum democracy?
- what will this system look like?
‼️ The online part is now live, and the first events are being organized ‼️
2. WHAT CAN YOU DO?
💭 Think outside of the box for the good of humanity: contribute to our online consultations with your ideas here.
☀️ Get out for democracy: attend a physical event or, even better, help us organize one to create bridges with others willing to build a more united world.
🖋️ Send me names of people working on democracy & governance that inspire you, and that we should involve in our work! After Taiwan, I’ll head to South Korea 🇰🇷 and Japan 🇯🇵 to continue the on-the-ground consultations - so let me know if you or your friends want to meet up!
