Virtual Town Hall | What does it take to solve the climate crisis?

A word on our digital town hall from NOW!'s campaign manager, Laura!

Dear Friends,

I wanted to personally thank you for registering for our virtual town hall on "What does it take to solve climate change". I hope that you enjoyed our discussion with EU Commissioner Sinkevičius!

If you missed the talk, you can view the replay here.

It was great to hear the Commissioner making a case for global collaboration, of the kind we advocate for at NOW!: "COVID19 was a great example for people who don't believe in a global response. Some countries responded like some people: locking themselves up with lots of toilet paper. This is not the way to solve a global crisis! We can get out of this only together.”

During the discussion, we also concluded that the European Union should take a stronger stance on the topic and work more with other regional organisations, such as the African Union, to counter the climate crisis.

As we always say, we like to make sure that we translate discussions and good thoughts into action. After spending an hour discussing the importance of having a more coordinated and global response to the climate crisis, I’m thus asking you to spend a few seconds to sign our petition and spread the word to achieve just that: click here.

I am looking forward to continuing to push this important campaign together!

See you soon,
