Act Now โ€” Free the Sumud Flotilla
Emergency action

Israel assaulted the Global Sumud Flotilla.
Activists are at risk & a storm is coming.
Act now to support them & end the genocide!

The Global Sumud Flotilla was attacked by Israeli forces in international waters near Greece โ€” hundreds of miles from Gaza. Vessels boarded and disabled. Communications jammed including SOS channels. Activists left adrift with a major storm approaching. All of this while Israel is continuing its genocide of Palestinians and war on other countries โ€” with the complicity of our governments. Your government must act right now.

7+vessels seized
345activists at risk
1,000+km from Gaza
72,568+Palestinians murdered since Oct 2023

An assault on unarmed civilians in international waters

In the night of April 29โ€“30, 2026, Israeli naval forces intercepted the Global Sumud Flotilla in international waters near Crete โ€” more than 1,000 km from Israel. The flotilla carried 345 activists from 39 countries, departing from Sicily on April 26 to break Israel's illegal blockade of Gaza.

Israeli military speedboats surrounded the fleet, pointed lasers and semi-automatic weapons at activists, ordered them to their knees, and systematically boarded and disabled multiple vessels. Communications were jammed โ€” including emergency SOS channels โ€” leaving people stranded at sea as a storm moved in. At least 11 boats lost contact; Israeli Army Radio confirmed at least 7 vessels seized.

Flotilla participants report that engines were destroyed and boats left adrift. This is not the first time: in October 2025, Israel intercepted and detained over 450 flotilla participants, including Greta Thunberg and a European Parliament Member. Those detained reported physical and psychological abuse in Israeli custody.

This is illegal under international law. Israel has no jurisdiction in international waters near Crete. Jamming emergency SOS channels and disabling civilian vessels on the high seas violate the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. Turkey has already called it "an act of piracy." Our governments must respond.

Our friend Yassine is on board

A member of our community โ€” Yassine โ€” is among the hundreds of activists on board with disabled boats and a storm on the horizon. He went to stand with Gaza. He needs your government to stand with him. Every minute of silence from our leaders is complicity.

Three things your government must do today

Provide rescue and technical support immediately โ€” disabled boats, hundreds of people, a coming storm, jammed SOS. This is a maritime emergency. Every coastal state has a legal duty to act.
Ensure the safety and release of all participants โ€” including those already seized and detained by Israel. Demand consular access. Demand their safe return.
End complicity with Israel โ€” suspend the EU-Israel trade agreement, impose an arms embargo and sanctions. Silence is complicity. Weapons sales are complicity. Business as usual is complicity.
