I wanted to follow up regarding our earlier message about Yassine.
We have been in contact with the flotilla’s legal team, who reassured us about his condition. And just moments ago, we heard from a close friend that Yassine has safely landed in Istanbul. After these difficult days, we are relieved to know he is safe.
Thank you very much for your support and solidarity over the past days — it has meant the world. As soon as we will have a direct contact with Yassine, we will be able to coordinate to cover his repatriation cost and any eventual legal fee. We will keep you updated, feel free to still contribute to the Solidarity Fund if you can.
We are also sharing a touching note from a very renowned pro-Palestinian lawyer. It is a reminder of the strength and dignity he carried throughout this ordeal.

Following up on today’s communication: we have set up a Solidarity Fund to support Atlas’ representative Yassineand the other kidnapped activists of the Global Sumud Flotilla. They now face legal battles and the risk of forced repatriation. The costs are overwhelming — and we cannot let them face this alone.

We need your help.
Our fellow Atlas member and Community Lead Yassine has been arrested by Israeli forces while sailing on the Global Sumud Flotilla. The Flotilla is a peaceful mission of solidarity with Gaza, sailing by sea in response to the genocide waged by Israel, which has taken more than 70,000 Palestinian lives in just two years. Alongside more than 500 activists, Yassine was kidnapped in international waters by Israeli forces and, from what we know, is now being held in detention.
