How to Build a Country | Season 0, Episode 6

Nations must change or die!

Can nations resist change? Most countries on this planet are run with outdated institutions and practices, and as such, citizens do not trust nor want to engage with them 🗳️ . And the worst thing is… it doesn't have to be this way!

Countries like Estonia 🇪🇪 and Taiwan 🇹🇼 are leading the way for new democratic practices and ripening great benefits from them. The crazy adventures of micro-nations show us that even an odd idea can involve citizens if done right. Finally, emerging, digital network-states use new tools that can connect people, regardless of where they are located.

In this 6th episode of "How to Build A Country", Andrea Venzon & Colombe Cahen-Salvador dive into why innovation is key to keeping legacy countries alive and how forward-looking a new one must be!
