💬 Democracy in Belarus: Will There Be Good News in 2022?

Our special host on January 6 will be Vera Horton, Belarusian activist and professional actress.  Join us as she shares her expertise and insight on a subject close to her heart. Belarus is in a new phase in the fight against the regime of Lukashenko. Locked between EU and Russia, Belarus is in a tricky place.

From the East, Putin is trying to pull Belarus back into the Russian Empire. From the West, democratic countries are showing support to the Belarusian people. Lukashenko's regime is holding on, trying to destroy Belarusian society, even using desperate migrants at the border to attack the West. And still, the regime counts on the Russian guarantee of support.

However, the people are fighting back! What awaits Belarus in 2022?

Format: Community chats last one hour, are hosted by one member on workplace (our internal forum). They are structured as follow:
1) introduction by members attending,
2) 20-30 min presentation of topic at hand
3) Q&A and general discussion
