Why now

A year ago yesterday, the UN General Assembly gave Israel 12 months to end its unlawful presence in Palestinian territory. That deadline has now passed.

Yet Israel continues to commit genocide, to starve Palestinians, displace an entire population, destroy essential infrastructure, annex land. The crimes pile up, and the UN has still failed to act, despite having the power to do so.

What this is about

When the Security Council is blocked, the General Assembly can act under its Uniting for Peace procedure to send a protection force to Gaza. All that is missing is the courage to make it happen.

This event will bring together governments, UN experts, and Palestinian voices to demand that the General Assembly act before world leaders gather for High-Level Week.
