Community Chat | Atlas: Is The Future of Politics 'Glocal?'

Community chats: Every week, we host community chats for Atlas members, hosted by volunteers from the community. These chats are online discussions in which the host presents a topic of global relevance and discusses it with others. It can also be a way of raising awareness about significant events.

💬  Atlas Community Chat | Thursday, June 9, 2022

6 pm UK time, 7 pm CEST, 8 pm Nairobi, 1 pm NYC

In our June 9 Community Chat, Andrea Venzon, co-founder of Atlas, will lead the way as together, we explore the possibility of implementing a "glocal" electoral strategy.

What would this mean?  Basically, through local community groups, Atlas members will try to penetrate the political sphere, first, at the hyper local level. We will accomplish this by creating local teams who would work to bring about change in wards, neighbourhoods, city councils, etc. Then...we connect them around the planet!  As one team gains strength, more teams will be created and spread throughout various nations until Atlas has a very solid electoral position worldwide.

In the face of the monumental global challenges we face, we must begin at the grassroots level to demonstrate that it is possible to make a significant difference and every individual's contributions matter. Always keeping in mind the ultimate goal of uniting globally, Atlas will provide the framework and work hard to maintain a strong connection between communities,

Join this interactive Community Chat on Thursday, June 9, and bring your ideas and questions to this unique discussion.  Help build Atlas' future - we can make a difference - together!  And we need you!
